Lauren + Ryan’s Nashville Marina Wedding | Smithville Real Wedding

So many memories are made on your wedding day. Plus, there are lots of memories you’ve made as a couple within the time you’ve dated and known each other. To bring that nostalgia full circle to your wedding day is something pretty incredible. And that’s exactly what Lauren + Ryan did at their lake wedding in Nashville! Ryan’s family owns Hidden Harbor Marina – beautiful grounds where camps and outdoor activities take place. The great part is that Ryan + Lauren met on the property for the first time while attending camp! The day was pure magic as Through Victoria’s Lens captured the day full of outdoorsy wonder. See it all below!

Lauren + Ryan

Hidden Harbor Marina

9.30.17

How it all started from the bride, Lauren: It all started with a neon yellow shirt. Ryan came walking in after our junior year of college summer break with a tan (from working at Hidden Harbor Marina all summer) and wearing a neon yellow shirt + sporting the biggest smile you have ever seen. I knew in that moment that Ryan was a friend who I couldn’t imagine not being a part of my life, and dreaded knowing that our time as classmates would eventually end. Fast forward 6 months, and Ryan asked me to be his girlfriend. 3 years later and a whole lot of memories in between, Ryan asked me to be his wife (he proposed in front of the building that we had all of our classes in together). We decided to have our wedding at Hidden Harbor Marina, because well, all the signs pointed right back to there. The marina is also his family’s marina that they own, which made our wedding day even more intimate and special.

From the bride Lauren: Our wedding day was nothing but shy of perfect. Our family, bridal party, and friends worked incredibly hard to give us the wedding day that we dreamt of, and far surpassed it. The sun was sparkling on the lake water, the autumn hues were beginning to peek through, and there was natural greenery bringing life to everything around it. The truth is though, the second Ryan and I saw each other for our first look, we knew this was what it was all about. It was about choosing us that day, and everyday to follow. It was about choosing love with one another for the rest of our lives, because that is what we had waited years to do. So thank you to Victoria for catching our intimate moments with the most dreamy light, to always remind us of our magical day when we said I do.”
