Chloe + Tyler’s Wedding at Cedar Springs Farm | Nashville Real Wedding

Eep! I am so excited to share this beautiful Nashville barn wedding with you today! Chloe + Tyler wed in September at Chloe’s family farm – Cedar Springs Farm. Planner Whitney from Woven Events together with the bride Chloe created a beautiful scene that not only enhanced the family barn but gave an ode to it’s legacy. The neutral color scheme was enhanced with a pop of color through Chloe’s flowers by Enchanted Florist. Plus, their creative cakes by Oh Crumbs Bakery were a showstopper! How did you guys meet?

Chloe: Tyler and I met through mutual friends in college. He first approached me when I was working on a CSCI assignment in the library. He said it looked like I was struggling and needed some help. He did my homework for me.

Tell us about your engagement!

Chloe: Everyone has a sacred place. My sacred place is our family farm in Lebanon, TN. My uncle restored it from a pioneers cabin almost 40 years ago. We spend every Thanksgiving there; I’ve grown up exploring the 126 acres. It’s the most special place to me in the world. On Thanksgiving of 2017, after 6 years of dating, Tyler proposed in the pasture overlooking the farm.

What was the vision for your wedding?

Chloe: The vision for my wedding was to not only encompass the natural beauty of the farm, but to keep it from being commercial as much as possible. I didn’t want it to feel like a wedding venue, I wanted it to be sentimental, fun and unique.

What was your theme and what inspired it?

Chloe: My goal was to highlight the natural beauty of the farm, but to add a touch of garden party. Our flowers from Enchanted Florist were insane, they did the trick. I also hunted down any glass bottle, lantern and greenery I could find.

What details were used to create your theme?

Chloe: The farm has so much natural character, green rolling hills, 3 restored cabins, and a barn my uncle built for my cousin’s wedding. It spoke for itself. I added color with the flowers.

Where did you splurge and where did you save?

Chloe: A  lesson I learned, when you plan a wedding at your own personal location there is no saving to be had. I was able to save a little by collecting my own decoration pieces such as ornate glass bottles, lanterns etc. None of our decor was rented.

What words of advice do you have for couples in the midst of their planning?

Chloe: Make the reception what you want it to be. We wanted a dance party with our friends, so we made sure that happened.

Can you share any special moments or highlights from your wedding day?

Chloe: Tyler’s family, my sisters, aunts and cousins coming together for the entire weekend to make it happen. It took a village of friends and family to make the wedding everything it was.
