Nashville Engagement Session | Nashville Engagement Session

Classic and clean lines with a pop of color is always a win in my book! And that’s exactly the feel Amanda + Zach chose for their engagement photos. They enlisted the help of Whitney Woodall Photography to capture some sweet moments along with some pretty incredible detail shots. I am absolutely LOVING how they incorporated details such as their Save the Date invitation from Simply Done Invites and bouquet from Elizabeth Earnest Florals to styled in the shoot. I hope this trend catches on! On another note, Amanda + Zach are such troopers as they were caught in a pop up storm right in the middle of their shoot. But you know what, the clear umbrella photos from this shoot are some of my absolute favorites! Keep reading to learn more about their journey together…

From the photographer, Whitney Woodall on the photo shoot: Amanda and Zach’s relationship was “completely unexpected,” as Amanda puts it. Why would their engagement session be any different?! We got caught in the middle of an unexpected pop up shower! Even though we got stuck with rain in the middle of their shoot these two had the BEST attitudes about it! Just look at their pictures!

Photographer Whitney Woodall on the couple’s story: Their story is sweet. Amanda had a coworker here in Nashville who kept telling her about his friend Zach that lived in Atlanta. She never gave it much thought because, as hectic as life is, how likely was it for their paths to cross? Well, all the stars aligned perfectly. Amanda’s company was headquartered in Atlanta and she was sent to Atlanta for company training. Her Nashville coworker coordinated an introduction between the two and the rest is history.

Amanda + Zach’s engagement story from photographer Whitney Woodall: Amanda and Zach got engaged at the iconic Opryland Hotel, here in Nashville, during Christmas season. So, for her engagement session she wanted a downtown Nashville engagement. She didn’t want crowds of people or the “busy-ness” of the city in her images. Amanda wanted a soft color pallet of blush and purples and for her and Zach to pop. To execute her vision and aesthetic we chose the Nashville Capitol Building and The War Memorial Auditorium as the light stone of the two created the perfect backdrop. With the help of Elizabeth Earnest Florals and Simply Done Invites we were able to incorporate all the purple feels with a beautiful bouquet and a custom designed save the date. Amanda described the feel of her session as soft, sweet and classic with a pop of (purple) color.

Whitney – thank you so much for sharing this amazing couple’s photos and story with us today! I’m loving this fun rainy day engagement session! You can check out more of Whitney Woodall Photography’s work online and also on Instagram!
