Erin: Party Place Cards started in June of 2016. I started it with twenty dollars and 6 place card designs and now I have over 130 options for place cards, food labels, favor tags, menus, and a workable/rearrangeable seating chart. The beauty of my company, is that my brides and grooms can come to me with a unique request that they have not been able to find yet, and I can create it.

Erin: My other area of expertise is as a personal assistant and I was assisting one of my clients in throwing a bridal shower. I needed some place cards and the first place I looked was Etsy. I wound up making my own place cards for the event and it inspired me to come up with some unique place card designs and open up an online shop!

Erin: The philosophy behind Party Place Cards is to make the visions of my customers come to life! I love being able to take something that brides and grooms can picture in their minds, and make it something tangible for their special day. I want to show people that what they can dream up, I can make a reality – in the paper crafting business at least!

Erin: I have been a personal assistant, a wedding day coordinator, and a Maid of Honor twice over, so I have a lot of experience in wedding and event planning beyond just the creation of my products. These experiences also help me to provide impeccable customer service. Another bonus is that a bride can use my paper decor for their entire course of events: the engagement party, bridal shower, bachelorette party, wedding, and then for favors, thank you cards, (and hey maybe even a baby shower down the road!). I get to know their individual taste, and work with them to create a cohesive theme amongst their items but still bring a new style for each event. I also have innovative items for other related aspects of the wedding, like a workable seating chart which helps brides to plan guest seating (a crucial step before they can order printed place cards!) I also have a wedding day emergency kit that has every toiletry and tool that brides would need for themselves, their wardrobes, or their bridesmaids on the wedding day. It then becomes a travel kit for the honeymoon and future trips.

Erin: Brides who are attracted to my business are looking for unique decor that has their own personal style and choices incorporated. Also, brides can communicate with me as often as they want and get prompt and reassuring responses. I make the experience easy and fun. If they need something extra, faster, or different than they originally anticipated – I always make it happen which puts brides at ease during a sometimes stressful time.

Erin: For one, I can pretty much recreate any paper good that a bride or groom can find a photo of on Pinterest or elsewhere, so they have a much bigger selection to choose from than just the listings in my online shop! Also, my workable seating chart is something I have never seen available before – so much so, that I am not even sure that this is the correct name for it! It is a template I created where brides can place their tables in the same arrangement as their venue. They can then move their guests easily from table to table to determine the best seating. They provide me with all of the names of the guests invited. If they don’t have all their RSVPs yet, that’s fine because it’s completely changeable.  I print all of the guests names on tiny clothespins that they can clip onto the tables and move around or remove from the table altogether. It is so much better than making a list of names on paper because it helps the planner really visualize the set up of the room and how close guests will be to key areas like the DJ, bar, restroom, etc. It folds up for easy transportation and takes a lot of the angst out of one of the toughest last minute tasks of the wedding planning process!
