Tell us about the theme and the vision for the shoot!
Paige: The theme was Luxe Middle Eastern Glam. The concept for this stunning styled shoot was inspired by the lush, rich jewel toned hues of Middle Eastern celebrations. Our goal was to pay respects to a beautiful culture while also adding our modern design eye to this traditional ceremony.
Can you share any special moments or highlights of the day?
Paige: Our beautiful models are actually newlyweds! Their "honeymoon phase" glow spilled completely over into our shoot and their intimacy, love, and comfort with one another was reflected through the lens. Their chemistry was undeniable and really led to the heart clinching romance of the images. It was truly a pleasure designing what was like a second dream wedding for this amazing couple!
What details were used to create the theme?
Paige: This ultra glam, ethnic inspired styled shoot was filled with bold hues of deep maroon, ultra violet, magenta, and eggplant. These colors paired with eclectic placements of rich gold, mixed metallics and bright crystals truly shines through the floor to ceiling, wall to wall windows, perched high in the skyline Penthouse of the illustrious Nashville City Club. The addition of gold throughout the estate table, including flatware and assorted chargers, contrasted with tumbling glassware and chandelier tables made this design literally a feast for the eyes. The details of this design are simply amazing down to the tiny gold elephants and mercury glass lanterns that bring out the middle eastern inspiration. Hundreds of candles, cascading fresh floral table runners, and a perfectly placed baby grand piano transformed this design into the ultimate romantic wedding scape.
After completing the vision for the design, we reached out to two local luxe bridal boutiques to shop for the perfect gown and we actually ended up with two gowns that we absolutely couldn't resist! We wanted drama in small details like intricate lace and hand beading paired with light, flowing yet structured fabric. We wanted the dresses to emulate the stylish bride who isn't afraid to stand out and be bold. Our gowns boast dramatically long trains billowing trains, sheer lace corset bodices, and daring necklines which hold up to the audacious design of the shoot. Our design team also thought it was best to have limited jewelry on our bride so that all the attention was kept on the beautiful gown and wedding ring. For the groom, we decided to keep his suit very traditional black, with the pop of detail coming in through his designer tie that perfectly matched the colors of the design. Overall our style team thought it be exceptionally chic to juxtapose modern wedding garments with the ethnic inspirations of our design to truly capture our couple's love story.
