A Woodsy Bridal Styled Shoot with Christen Whitney of The Bachelor by Nashville Bride Guide | Nashville

Guys – I have so eagerly been waiting for the right time to share this incredible shoot with you! It’s a styled shoot that Nashville Bride Guide (me!), Petals & Fields and Emily Anne Photo Art put together this past fall. We decided on a bridal portrait shoot with a small table scape and a bohemian feel. Emily Anne took us out to The Foundry‘s Joelton property to capture some gorgeous fall light and style a faux wedding beneath the trees. Boho Styled Shoot

The Foundry Joelton

It was so exciting to team up with Emily Anne Photo Art and Petals & Fields for yet another styled shoot! We had all been dying to work with Christen Whitney of Bachelor/Bachelor in Paradise fame and took that chance on November 9th of last year! Photographer Emily had a vision to shoot on the beautiful woodsy property owned by Nashville wedding venue The Foundry out in Joelton, TN. The bridal shoot had a boho feel with the sheer applique Rue de Seine dress from The Dress Theory and deep makeup by One10 Beauty. Our inspiration came from bold grapefruit tones and turquoise to compliment a citrus look in the woods. Pottery Barn Nashville was gracious enough to let us borrow tabletop items for our casual floor seating table scape while I (Nashville Bride Guide) styled the decor. Petals & Fields created such an inspirational centerpiece and bouquet with a unique color palette. Vintage furniture from Vintage Sparkle was placed throughout the woodsy scene as if the pieces were found among the trees. The wedding invitation suite from Basic Invite and White Ink Calligraphy featured the acrylic trend with see-through invitations and modern white calligraphy. All of these elements together created a gorgeous bohemian scene built for a bachelorette bride!

It was such a beautiful day for a shoot! But the beautiful day didn’t come without a challenge or two. With the shoot location far out from where we all live, and with the actual spot on the property quite deep into the woods, all of us got a bit turned around on the way there! It had rained a few nights before, so driving through tight muddy trails in our little cars was quite the adventure! And with me being 6 months pregnant at the time, running back and forth to grab the decor was no easy task. 🙂 But with the help of an amazing team, we banded together to make it work! The sunlight in the woods was perfect and the decor complimented our location so well. I love how playful Christen was on set – making us all laugh and have a great time. We’re not going to lie, at the end of the shoot, we dove into Wolfe Gourmet Cakes‘ delicious carrot cake for a job well done!

What an honor to be a part of this shoot! Thank you to all the vendors who dedicated time to making our vision become a reality. I’m excited to work on more shoots this year! Want to be a part of the fun? Email me at alyssa@nashvillebrideguide.com!
