How did you and your wife meet? Tell us your love story!

Aaron: Victoria and I initially met in Key West, at the Key West Songwriters Festival. But it was very brief and I openly admit I don't remember meeting her there. She took a picture of me and a couple friends at the pool that day. 6 months later in front of the Bar “Losers” in mid-town i was heading out and she was heading in walking with a friend of mine who said “Aaron, do you know Victoria?” I said “I don't believe I have,” and she said, “Actually…” and I was like man, how could I not remember her? The conversation ended that night like this and I began to walk to my truck to head home she said, “maybe we do need to hang out sometime” and I asked, “do I need to get your number?” And the rest is history!

How long have you been playing music?

Aaron: I started singing in karaoke/talent competitions at 11. Started playing guitar and writing songs at 12. So I would say coming up on 20 years.

How would you describe your musical style?

Aaron: I like to call it “real” music. Thats why I always loved country music because it always seemed to be talking about the truth and real things that happen in real life. I have always been influenced by great songs and undeniable hits. If you like Eric Church and Randy Houser You'll love my stuff.

Why did you want to feature your wedding in your music video?

Aaron: It actually wasn't the original plan at all. The initial treatment for the video was I was going to playing in the background while a different couple got “married.” My publiscist at Warner Canada, Steve Waxman, was the one who piped up in a meeting and said, “Hello, isn't Aaron getting married at the end of the month? Why don't we just shoot his wedding.” I think everyone was hesitant at first and was mostly worried about what Victoria would think of that. Her being the amazingly supportive woman she is, said, “Ya, I love it. We have to do it.”

What is the meaning behind the song?

Aaron: “Woman in Love” is really just a feel-good song about how a woman looks and feels when she is in love. Everything around her just seems to light up . What I love most about this song is we wrote it (Brice Long, Bart Butler & I) without it coming off too soft and fluffy. That's always the challenge when it comes to songs like this. I feel like it connects so well because it just is what it is.

Thank you so much for sharing your story with us Aaron! You can check out more of Aaron's music on his website here
