Tell us about the shoot vision!

Mandy Liz: When Ashley and I first started planning the shoot we really wanted it to be timeless and romantic. We went in with the idea of a spring shoot, but it eventually branched out to a timeless shoot with touches of blue! Riverwood Mansion is timeless; it's a historic venue with unique painted walls, which quickly made it the perfect starting point for our shoot.

Events by Goldman and Mandy Liz Photography were the ones with the vision for the shoot, and worked together to secure all of the vendors. We had an amazing group of vendors though, and everything tied together nicely! Our gorgeous venue was a perfect backdrop for our blue theme, because Riverwood Mansion has painted walls in different shades of blue. Liberty Party Rental and The Wedding Plate helped us find the perfect pieces for our tablescape. Our dessert vendors, Sweet Darling Patisseire and Poppy Co Bake Shop, helped us pair cake and macarons effortlessly. We really had a great group of vendors on board with us!

What was the theme and what inspired it?

Mandy Liz: The inspiration for this shoot was a romantic, whimsical theme with touches of blue to incorporate “something blue” into a whole wedding day. The blue color scheme just kind of happened once we secured the venue. We started grabbing blue for decor, flowers, dessert, and more! It ended up playing out nicely!

What details were used to create the theme?

Mandy Liz: We went with a blue and gold color scheme, and incorporated those colors in our florals, desserts, tablescape, invitations, and venue! Our blue glass goblets and mismatched china from The Wedding Plate and the blue linens from Liberty Party Rental are what stood out the most to me at the table.

Can you share any special moments or highlights of the day?

Mandy Liz: We decided to incorporate boxed gifts from Thoughtful Boxes, and I think that would be a very special moment on a wedding day. It allows your couples to take 10 minutes to themselves to exchange gifts (gifts that they will even keep a lifetime and will always be reminded of that special day).

Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful shoot with us, Mandy! Check out more of Mandy Liz Photography's work here on her website and also here on Instagram!
